The Somerset Berkley Regional High School Wellness Department encompasses Physical Education and Health Education. The Wellness Curriculum is designed to offer students lifelong skills in promoting physical, emotional and social well being. This curriculum systematically presents students with concepts, information and skills while providing the necessary tools and opportunities to encourage students to make responsible decisions about healthy lifestyles.
Students are taught to utilize resources and recognize the forces in their environment that influence their overall health and well-being. With these acquired skills, students will be able to become productive, healthy, active and informed members of our community. Parent/Guardian involvement and communication is a vital component for the successful implementation of these learned skills.
With the combined efforts of the Wellness Department staff, community and parents/guardians students will leave Somerset Berkley Regional High School having had multiple opportunities to acquire the skills needed to make informed decisions about their health and well being.
